Security agencies in the US, UK, and Europe have issued an urgent warning about two critical vulnerabilities in PHP, a language powering approximately 70% of websites. These flaws, dubbed PHP2Shell, allow hackers to execute code remotely and potentially take over servers without passwords. Government websites in Europe and the UK, along with the Dutch cybersecurity agency, have temporarily gone offline as a precautionary measure. Companies are strongly advised to immediately patch their PHP installations or take vulnerable systems offline until updates can be applied.
