DRDO Successfully Tests Indigenous Pralay Missile Off Odisha Coast

DRDO successfully conducted a user evaluation trial of its indigenously developed Pralay missile on Thursday. The solid-propellant, quasi-ballistic surface-to-surface missile was tested off the Odisha coast, meeting all stipulated objectives as confirmed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. Pralay has a strike range of 150 to 500 km, depending on its payload, and features advanced guidance systems for high precision. Its ability to manoeuvre during flight and launch from a mobile platform enhances its strategic capabilities and makes interception difficult.

डीआरडीओ ने गुरुवार को अपनी स्वदेशी रूप से विकसित प्रलय मिसाइल का उपयोगकर्ता मूल्यांकन परीक्षण सफलतापूर्वक किया। यह सॉलिड-प्रोपेलेंट, अर्ध-बैलिस्टिक सतह से सतह पर मार करने वाली मिसाइल ओडिशा तट से दागी गई, जिसने रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह द्वारा पुष्टि किए गए सभी निर्धारित उद्देश्यों को पूरा किया। प्रलय की मारक क्षमता पेलोड के आधार पर 150 से 500 किमी तक है, और इसमें उच्च सटीकता के लिए उन्नत मार्गदर्शन प्रणाली है। उड़ान के दौरान पैंतरेबाज़ी करने और मोबाइल प्लेटफॉर्म से लॉन्च होने की इसकी क्षमता इसकी रणनीतिक क्षमताओं को बढ़ाती है और इसे रोकना मुश्किल बनाती है।
