Yogi Adityanath Hails UP's Carpet Exports, Says Anarchy Era Over

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that before 2017, the state suffered from anarchy and mafia rule, hindering artisans. He highlighted that now, artisans are getting platforms to showcase their skills, with exports worth Rs 6,100 crore from Sant Ravidas Nagar and the silk cluster alone. Sant Ravidas Nagar, Mirzapur, and the Varanasi silk cluster contribute 60% of India's total carpet exports. Adityanath emphasized the transformation from a 'BIMARU state' to one with improved security and business environment, benefiting the carpet industry through technology, design, and market access.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि 2017 से पहले राज्य में अराजकता और माफिया राज था, जिससे कारीगरों को दिक्कत होती थी। उन्होंने बताया कि अब कारीगरों को अपने हुनर दिखाने के लिए मंच मिल रहा है, जिसमें अकेले संत रविदास नगर और सिल्क क्लस्टर से 6,100 करोड़ रुपये का निर्यात हुआ है। संत रविदास नगर, मिर्जापुर और वाराणसी सिल्क क्लस्टर भारत के कुल कालीन निर्यात का 60% हिस्सा देते हैं। आदित्यनाथ ने 'बीमारू राज्य' से बेहतर सुरक्षा और कारोबारी माहौल वाले राज्य में हुए बदलाव पर जोर दिया, जिससे टेक्नोलॉजी, डिजाइन और बाजार पहुंच के माध्यम से कालीन उद्योग को फायदा हुआ है।
