Karnataka Mandates Night Attendance For Govt Employees At Headquarters

The Karnataka government has made it mandatory for its officials and employees to reside at their designated headquarters and introduced a geofencing-based night-time attendance system. This system, implemented through the 'Kartavya' mobile application, aims to ensure prompt public service delivery and effective implementation of development works. Initially, doctors in taluk hospitals and PHCs will pilot the system from November 1, 2026, marking attendance via the app after 9 pm. Exemptions are provided for those on sanctioned leave or official duty outside headquarters with prior approval.

कर्नाटक सरकार ने अपने अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों के लिए अपने निर्धारित मुख्यालयों में रहना अनिवार्य कर दिया है और जियोफेंसिंग-आधारित रात के समय की उपस्थिति प्रणाली शुरू की है। यह प्रणाली, 'कर्तव्य' मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन के माध्यम से लागू की गई है, जिसका उद्देश्य त्वरित सार्वजनिक सेवा वितरण और विकास कार्यों का प्रभावी कार्यान्वयन सुनिश्चित करना है। शुरुआत में, तालुक़ अस्पतालों और पीएचसी में डॉक्टर 1 नवंबर, 2026 से रात 9 बजे के बाद ऐप के माध्यम से हाजिरी दर्ज करके इस प्रणाली का पायलट करेंगे। स्वीकृत छुट्टी पर या पूर्व अनुमति के साथ मुख्यालय के बाहर आधिकारिक ड्यूटी पर रहने वालों को छूट दी गई है।
