Kolkata is experiencing a significant rise in tick fever among pets, including strays, due to the current humid and rainy weather conditions. Veterinarians report an increase in cases, with dogs and cats being particularly vulnerable to tick-borne diseases. Symptoms to watch for include lethargy, loss of appetite, swollen lymph nodes, pale gums, and dark urine, which can lead to serious respiratory and skin issues if untreated. Pet owners are advised to maintain daily grooming, ensure pets are hydrated, feed cooked food, and schedule regular health check-ups to mitigate these risks.

बारिश के मौसम में पालतू जानवरों में टिक फीवर का बढ़ा प्रकोप

कोलकाता में इस समय की उमस भरी और बरसात वाली मौसम की वजह से पालतू जानवरों, जिनमें आवारा जानवर भी शामिल हैं, में टिक फीवर के मामलों में काफी बढ़ोतरी देखी जा रही है। पशु चिकित्सक मामलों में वृद्धि की रिपोर्ट कर रहे हैं, जिसमें कुत्ते और बिल्लियाँ टिक से होने वाली बीमारियों के प्रति विशेष रूप से संवेदनशील हैं। जिन लक्षणों पर ध्यान देना चाहिए उनमें सुस्ती, भूख न लगना, सूजी हुई लसीका ग्रंथियां, पीला मसूड़ा और गहरा मूत्र शामिल हैं, जिनका इलाज न होने पर गंभीर श्वसन और त्वचा संबंधी समस्याएं हो सकती हैं।
