A Ukrainian soldier, Kostiantyn Vlasenko, has been rescued by a heavy-lift drone after spending nearly eight months trapped in a bombed-out school. Severely injured and with no escape route, Vlasenko amputated his own foot to survive. He was eventually lifted by a large drone and carried 15km to safety. This marks the first known aerial drone rescue of a soldier. Conventional rescue missions had failed due to intense drone activity on the frontlines, making Vlasenko's survival a testament to extreme resilience.
