Kathiravan Elected New Bar Council Chairman Unopposed

Advocate K Kathiravan has been elected the new chairman of the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Advocate E Balamurugan was elected vice-chairman, and Advocate P S Amalraj will represent Tamil Nadu in the Bar Council of India. All three were elected unopposed. The elections for the 23 members of the Bar Council were conducted by a Supreme Court-appointed committee, with results declared on July 21.

बार काउंसिल ऑफ तमिलनाडु और पुडुचेरी के नए अध्यक्ष के तौर पर एडवोकेट के कथीरवन चुने गए हैं। एडवोकेट ई बाला मुरुगन उपाध्यक्ष बने हैं, और एडवोकेट पी एस अमलराज बार काउंसिल ऑफ इंडिया में तमिलनाडु का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे। तीनों निर्विरोध चुने गए। बार काउंसिल के 23 सदस्यों के चुनाव सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा नियुक्त समिति ने कराए थे, और नतीजे 21 जुलाई को घोषित हुए।
