RBI to Meet Banks Over Slow FCNR-B Inflows

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will meet top bank chiefs on July 14 to discuss the sluggish mobilisation of Foreign Currency Non-Resident (Bank) or FCNR-B deposits. This meeting comes amid concerns over the slow pace of deposit growth, which impacts banks' ability to fund foreign currency assets.

भारतीय रिज़र्व बैंक (RBI) 14 जुलाई को बड़े बैंकों के प्रमुखों से मिलेगा। वे फॉरेन करेंसी नॉन-रेज़िडेंट (बैंक) या FCNR-B जमाओं को बढ़ाने में आ रही सुस्ती पर चर्चा करेंगे। यह मीटिंग इसलिए हो रही है क्योंकि बैंकों में जमाओं की रफ़्तार धीमी है, जिससे उन्हें विदेशी मुद्रा संपत्तियों के लिए फंड जुटाने में दिक्कत हो रही है।
