Despite Mumbai Police denying permission due to site restrictions, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke stated the protest will proceed. This Mumbai agitation is intended as the start of a nationwide campaign, with further demonstrations planned in other cities.

कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) 2 अक्टूबर को मुंबई में अपना 'जेल भरो आंदोलन' शुरू करने की योजना बना रही है, जिसमें मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार के इस्तीफे की मांग की जाएगी। शिवाजी पार्क में शाम 4 बजे होने वाले इस विरोध का उद्देश्य चुनाव आयोग के कामकाज और मतदाता सूची संशोधन के मुद्दों को उठाना है। मुंबई पुलिस ने साइट प्रतिबंधों के कारण अनुमति देने से इनकार कर दिया है, लेकिन CJP के संस्थापक अभिजीत दीपके ने कहा है कि विरोध प्रदर्शन जारी रहेगा। मुंबई में यह आंदोलन एक राष्ट्रव्यापी अभियान की शुरुआत के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है, और अन्य शहरों में भी आगे विरोध प्रदर्शन की योजना है।
