India has declared attacks on commercial shipping and seafarers in the Gulf region as "simply unacceptable" during the UN General Assembly. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed deep concern over ongoing hostilities, urging all parties to exercise restraint and protect civilians. He highlighted that targeting vessels and seafarers in international waters, from the Red Sea to the Black Sea, has led to loss of life, including Indian nationals.

भारत ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र महासभा के दौरान खाड़ी क्षेत्र में वाणिज्यिक शिपिंग और नाविकों पर हमलों को "पूरी तरह से अस्वीकार्य" घोषित किया है। विदेश मंत्री एस जयशंकर ने चल रहे शत्रुतापूर्ण कृत्यों पर गहरी चिंता व्यक्त की और सभी पक्षों से संयम बरतने और नागरिकों की रक्षा करने का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि लाल सागर से लेकर काला सागर तक अंतरराष्ट्रीय जलक्षेत्र में जहाजों और नाविकों को निशाना बनाने से भारतीय नागरिकों सहित लोगों की जान गई है।
