White House chief of staff Susie Wiles reportedly helped arrange an interview for Katie Zacharia on Fox News's Sean Hannity program shortly before Zacharia's removal as press secretary. The interview, which aired Thursday, focused on Zacharia's qualifications and difficult start. She was ousted Friday after only five days in the role. Sources described the interview as a "sanctioned hit," though a senior White House official disputed this, stating Wiles did not need to orchestrate such an event.
