Passengers travelling to Ramagiri were left stranded on Thursday after the Mysuru-Belagavi Vishwamanava Express skipped its scheduled halt. The train, which has a regular stop at Ramagiri, passed the station without halting, leaving passengers from various towns unable to alight. Railway authorities reportedly provided no prior notice regarding the cancellation of the halt. Ramagiri is a crucial connectivity hub for approximately 40 to 45 villages, serving as access to district centres. Residents are planning a rail blockade to protest the withdrawal of train halts.
