Jharkhand Launches Five-Day Drive To Enrol Vulnerable Citizens

Jharkhand has initiated a five-day special outreach program to to ensure eligible elderly, destitute, and shelter home residents are included in the electoral roll. The drive aims to overcome barriers such as lack of documents, mobility issues, and limited awareness among vulnerable populations. Special camps are being organized to facilitate the enrolment process, including alternative document verification, as per Election Commission of India instructions. This initiative seeks to make the electoral roll more inclusive before the final list is published.

झारखंड ने योग्य बुजुर्गों, बेसहारा लोगों और आश्रय गृहों में रहने वालों को मतदाता सूची में शामिल करने के लिए पांच दिवसीय विशेष आउटरीच कार्यक्रम शुरू किया है। इस अभियान का उद्देश्य कमजोर आबादी के बीच दस्तावेजों की कमी, चलने-फिरने में दिक्कत और जागरूकता की कमी जैसी बाधाओं को दूर करना है। चुनाव आयोग के निर्देशों के अनुसार, वैकल्पिक दस्तावेज़ सत्यापन सहित नामांकन प्रक्रिया को आसान बनाने के लिए विशेष शिविर आयोजित किए जा रहे हैं। इस पहल का उद्देश्य अंतिम सूची प्रकाशित होने से पहले मतदाता सूची को और अधिक समावेशी बनाना है।
