MPSC Protest in Pune: Students Demand Reforms Amidst Allegations of Irregularities

Students in Pune are staging a large-scale protest against alleged irregularities and paper leaks in MPSC examinations. Led by MLA Rohit Pawar, who has been present for six days, demonstrators are demanding the resignation of the MPSC chairman and a shift to offline examinations. The protests intensified after a paper leak surfaced following the cancellation of the Drug Inspector recruitment exam in August 2026. The government has already removed MPSC Secretary Mahendra Harpalekar, citing administrative reasons, amid growing concerns over the commission's transparency and examination processes.
