The dispute centers on Article 121 of Tata Sons' Articles of Association, which requires approval from a majority of directors nominated by Tata Trusts for certain decisions. Tata Trusts argued that both its nominees, Noel Tata and Venu Srinivasan, needed to approve the reappointment.
