India is hosting the first BIMSTEC maritime security exercise in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to strengthen maritime security, regional cooperation, and military coordination among member nations. The exercise, held in Port Blair, aims to enhance maritime cooperation, improve operational coordination, and build the capacity for effective joint operations. It involves a tabletop exercise followed by a harbour phase, with ships from BIMSTEC member states participating.

भारत अंडमान और निकोबार द्वीप समूह में पहली BIMSTEC समुद्री सुरक्षा अभ्यास की मेजबानी कर रहा है ताकि सदस्य देशों के बीच समुद्री सुरक्षा, क्षेत्रीय सहयोग और सैन्य समन्वय को मजबूत किया जा सके। पोर्ट ब्लेयर में आयोजित इस अभ्यास का उद्देश्य समुद्री सहयोग को बढ़ाना, परिचालन समन्वय में सुधार करना और प्रभावी संयुक्त अभियानों के लिए क्षमता का निर्माण करना है। इसमें एक टेबलटॉप अभ्यास के बाद एक हार्बर चरण शामिल है, जिसमें BIMSTEC सदस्य देशों के जहाजों की भागीदारी होगी।
