The FIA has pledged to "strengthen" its software testing procedures following an incident at the Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia where several F1 cars lost power on formation laps. The on-board software reportedly failed to cope with drivers adopting a more cautious approach in wet conditions. An investigation found cars experienced a "loss of power beyond the original intent."
