A Wisconsin family's nearly 2,000 acres of low-lying land along the Sugar River, previously difficult to farm due to flooding, has been permanently protected. Groundswell Conservancy and Ducks Unlimited purchased the property, which includes wetlands, forests, and prairies. This marks the largest land protection project for Groundswell Conservancy and its biggest acquisition in Wisconsin for Ducks Unlimited. The land will become part of the Avon Bottoms Wildlife Area, serving as a vital.
