कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे ने मणिपुर की स्थिति से निपटने को लेकर प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी की सरकार की कड़ी आलोचना की है। उन्होंने कहा कि शांति बहाल करने में सरकार 'भयानक रूप से विफल' रही है। खरगे ने गृह मंत्री अमित शाह द्वारा घोषित शांति समिति की स्थिति और सुप्रीम कोर्ट द्वारा नियुक्त समिति की सिफारिशों पर की गई कार्रवाई के बारे में सवाल उठाए। उन्होंने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि बीजेपी की राजनीतिक रणनीतियों से रणनीतिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण सीमावर्ती राज्य में शांति नहीं आई है। खरगे ने कहा कि मणिपुर की सुरक्षा और स्थिरता से राजनीतिक सुविधा के लिए समझौता नहीं किया जाना चाहिए।
