The government's plan to increase the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) wage ceiling from Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 has been postponed. This decision, aimed at expanding social security coverage for more workers, is now on hold. The delay means that a significant number of employees will continue to be excluded from the higher benefits and contributions associated with the proposed increased.

सरकार ने कर्मचारियों के भविष्य निधि संगठन (EPFO) के लिए वेतन सीमा 15,000 रुपये से बढ़ाकर 25,000 रुपये करने की योजना फिलहाल टाल दी है। इस फैसले का मकसद ज़्यादा से ज़्यादा श्रमिकों को सामाजिक सुरक्षा के दायरे में लाना था। इस देरी के कारण कई कर्मचारी अभी भी बढ़ी हुई राशि से मिलने वाले लाभों और योगदान से वंचित रहेंगे।
