Retired Supreme Court judge Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul has clarified his association with CJP spokesperson Saurav Das, denying any mentorship role. Justice Kaul stated their acquaintance began when Das was a journalist, with only a few interactions. He admitted to advising Das to moderate his language, noting generational differences in communication styles. The viral photograph was taken at a private Diwali function about a year ago, and Justice Kaul believes it's being used to create a false impression of ideological closeness.
