सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने दिल्ली में सार्वजनिक सुविधाओं पर प्रतिबंधों को लेकर एक याचिका पर सुनवाई की, जो सीजेपी द्वारा मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के खिलाफ नियोजित विरोध प्रदर्शन के कारण था। वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ताओं ने तर्क दिया कि 57 मेट्रो स्टेशनों को बंद कर दिया गया, ट्रेनें रद्द कर दी गईं और जनता की आवाजाही प्रतिबंधित कर दी गई, जिससे एनसीआर में लाखों लोग प्रभावित हुए। उन्होंने दलील दी कि नागरिकों को शांतिपूर्ण विरोध का अधिकार है, लेकिन अधिकारियों ने व्यापक प्रतिबंध लगाकर असंतुलन पैदा कर दिया है। अदालत ने वकीलों से दोपहर 2 बजे मामले पर आगे की जानकारी के लिए लौटने को कहा।
