Visuals showed thick smoke emanating from the refinery unit, with the blast reportedly heard and felt by nearby villagers, causing some broken windows. One person sustained severe burn injuries, while six others had minor injuries. The fire has been brought under control, but the operational impact remains unclear. The incident also caused tremors at the Mangaluru airport.
