Himachal Student's Rs 3.5 Crore Defence Grant Claim Found Fake; Fraud Probe Launched

A Rs 3.5 crore defence grant claimed by a Himachal polytechnic student for developing a drone has been exposed as fake, leading to an online fraud investigation. Sarvesh Sharma, a computer engineering student, allegedly received fraudulent communications about the grant under the iDEX initiative. The Defence Innovation Organisation and Ministry of Defence have confirmed no such grant was sanctioned. The college principal filed an FIR for cheating and forgery, with police investigating the incident and Sharma's recent hostel fall.

एक हिमाचल पॉलिटेक्निक छात्र द्वारा ड्रोन विकसित करने के लिए दावा किया गया 3.5 करोड़ रुपये का रक्षा अनुदान फर्जी पाया गया है, जिसके बाद ऑनलाइन धोखाधड़ी की जांच शुरू हो गई है। कंप्यूटर इंजीनियरिंग के छात्र सर्वेश शर्मा पर कथित तौर पर iDEX पहल के तहत अनुदान के बारे में धोखाधड़ी वाले संचार प्राप्त करने का आरोप है। डिफेंस इनोवेशन ऑर्गनाइजेशन और रक्षा मंत्रालय ने पुष्टि की है कि ऐसा कोई अनुदान स्वीकृत नहीं किया गया था। कॉलेज के प्रिंसिपल ने धोखाधड़ी और जालसाजी के लिए एफआईआर दर्ज कराई है, और पुलिस इस घटना और शर्मा के हाल ही में हॉस्टल में गिरने की जांच कर रही है।
