Ambuja Cements Q2 Profit Plummets 90% Amid Tax Provision Reversal
Economic Times Markets · stocks
Ambuja Cements reported a net profit of Rs 114 crore for the second quarter of FY27, a significant 90% drop from Rs 1,158 crore in the same period last year. This decline was attributed to an income tax provision reversal of Rs 1,697 crore in the prior year's quarter. However, revenue from operations increased by 10% to Rs 6,113 crore. The company also saw shareholders approve the amalgamation of ACC and Orient Cement with Ambuja Cements, advancing its One Cement Platform initiative. EBITDA margins declined to 13.8% from 19.2% year-on-year.
