Four Held in Medak for Adulterating Toddy; Eight Consumers Test Positive for BZO

Medak Rural Police and the EAGLE Force have apprehended four individuals suspected of adulterating toddy with prohibited substances. Raids on five toddy shops and a depot in Burugupalli and Vaadi villages led to the discovery. Eight consumers tested positive for Benzodiazepam (BZO) during the operation and were counselled before being referred to de-addiction centres. Police seized 180 undeclared toddy bottles and four mobile phones, registering five cases under the NDPS Act and Telangana Excise Act. Efforts are underway to apprehend two absconding accused.

मेडिक रूरल पुलिस और ईगल फोर्स ने प्रतिबंधित पदार्थों के साथ ताड़ी में मिलावट के संदेह में चार लोगों को पकड़ा है। बरुगुपल्ली और वाडी गांवों में पांच ताड़ी की दुकानों और एक डिपो पर छापेमारी से यह खुलासा हुआ। ऑपरेशन के दौरान आठ उपभोक्ताओं में बेंजोडायजेपाइन (BZO) पॉजिटिव पाए गए और उन्हें नशामुक्ति केंद्रों में भेजने से पहले परामर्श दिया गया। पुलिस ने 180 अघोषित ताड़ी की बोतलें और चार मोबाइल फोन जब्त किए, और NDPS एक्ट और तेलंगाना आबकारी अधिनियम के तहत पांच मामले दर्ज किए। दो फरार आरोपियों को पकड़ने के प्रयास जारी हैं।
