France24 World · world

Hundreds of protests are expected across France on Saturday as a coalition of Yellow Vests, labor unions, and students plan marches. Their demands focus on studying conditions and purchasing power. Authorities are deploying approximately 70,000 police officers due to fears of ransacking and looting. This follows last Saturday's unrest, which occurred alongside protests that drew at least 550,000 participants. The government is preparing for significant public demonstrations.
