Veteran actor Nana Patekar, known for his impactful performances, had a unique last wish regarding his funeral. He expressed a desire not to be cremated using wet wood, fearing it would cause excessive smoke and tears. Patekar stated he had already arranged for 12 quintals of dry wood for his cremation. He wished for people not to mourn his death or adorn his photo with garlands, wanting to avoid the misconception of being mourned. The actor's final rites will be conducted at his Pune farmhouse with state honours.

अपने दमदार अभिनय के लिए जाने जाने वाले दिग्गज अभिनेता नाना पाटेकर ने अपनी मृत्यु के बाद अपने अंतिम संस्कार को लेकर एक अनोखी इच्छा जताई है। उन्होंने गीली लकड़ी से दाह संस्कार न करने की इच्छा व्यक्त की है, क्योंकि उन्हें डर है कि इससे बहुत ज़्यादा धुआं और आंसू निकलेंगे। पाटेकर ने कहा कि उन्होंने अपने दाह संस्कार के लिए 12 क्विंटल सूखी लकड़ी की व्यवस्था पहले ही कर ली है। उन्होंने इच्छा जताई कि लोग उनके निधन पर शोक न मनाएं और न ही उनकी तस्वीर पर माला चढ़ाएं, क्योंकि वह शोक मनाए जाने की गलत धारणा से बचना चाहते थे। अभिनेता का अंतिम संस्कार पुणे स्थित उनके फार्महाउस में राजकीय सम्मान के साथ किया जाएगा।
