Mumbai Restaurants to Hike Menu Prices by 10-15% Due to Rising Costs

Eating out in Mumbai is set to become more expensive as restaurants plan a 10% to 15% increase in menu prices. The Indian Hotel and Restaurant Association (AHAR) announced this move, citing significant rises in operating costs. Factors contributing to the hike include increased prices for cooking gas, food ingredients, dairy products, vegetables, rentals, manpower, and transportation. Restaurants have absorbed these rising expenses for a considerable time but now find it unsustainable to continue without passing on some of the burden to customers.
