समस्तीपुर स्थित डॉ. आरपी सी ए यू (RPCAU) मछली पालकों की आमदनी बढ़ाने के लिए वैल्यू एडिशन पर एक नया प्रोजेक्ट शुरू कर रहा है। वैज्ञानिक किसानों को मछली से तरह-तरह के खाद्य उत्पाद बनाना सिखाएंगे, जिससे उनकी कमाई काफी बढ़ सकती है। इस पहल का मकसद किसानों को कच्ची मछली बेचने से आगे बढ़कर ज़्यादा कीमत वाली चीज़ें बनाने के लिए तैयार करना है। यूनिवर्सिटी मछली पालन से जुड़ी ज़रूरी जानकारी भी देगी, जिसमें बीमारियों की पहचान और इलाज शामिल है। यह ट्रेनिंग इच्छुक किसानों को बिल्कुल मुफ्त दी जाएगी।
