The Congress has accused Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar of creating hurdles for first-time Gen Z voters by adding a new mandatory section to Form 6. MP Jairam Ramesh stated this change, requiring details about parents' or grandparents' previous inclusion in electoral rolls, is illegal and was made without proper notification. Ramesh also questioned the ECI's decision to hold special voter enrollment camps for young people in Delhi, alleging it was a panicked reaction. The party claims the ECI lacks the authority to amend statutory forms, demanding Kumar's resignation.

कांग्रेस ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञानेश कुमार पर फॉर्म 6 में नया अनिवार्य सेक्शन जोड़कर पहली बार वोट देने वाले Gen Z मतदाताओं के लिए मुश्किलें खड़ी करने का आरोप लगाया है। जयराम रमेश ने कहा कि यह बदलाव, जिसमें माता-पिता या दादा-दादी के चुनावी सूची में पिछले शामिल होने का विवरण मांगा गया है, अवैध है और बिना उचित सूचना के किया गया। उन्होंने दिल्ली में युवाओं के लिए विशेष मतदाता पंजीकरण शिविर आयोजित करने के ECI के फैसले पर भी सवाल उठाए।
