Sambhajinagar Civic Body Plans Tap Water Supply For No-Network Areas

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation is implementing measures to provide tap water to areas like Satara-Deolai that currently rely on tankers. These steps include surveying and repairing gaps in distribution lines, laying new pipelines, and increasing manpower for the work. The civic body aims to complete gap-filling within two months after Diwali, with regular water supply expected in the new year. This initiative seeks to alleviate water scarcity exacerbated by drought and rising tanker costs for residents.

छत्रपती संभाजीनगर महानगरपालिका सतारा-देओलाई जैसे इलाकों में टैंकरों पर निर्भरता खत्म करने के लिए नल से पानी पहुंचाने के उपाय कर रही है। इन उपायों में वितरण लाइनों में गैप का सर्वे और मरम्मत, नई पाइपलाइन बिछाना और काम के लिए मैनपावर बढ़ाना शामिल है। पालिका का लक्ष्य दिवाली के बाद दो महीने में गैप-फिलिंग का काम पूरा करना है, और नए साल में नियमित जलापूर्ति की उम्मीद है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य सूखे के कारण बढ़ी पानी की कमी और निवासियों के लिए टैंकरों की बढ़ती लागत को कम करना है।
