Supreme Court Refuses Chitra Ramkrishna Plea

The Supreme Court has refused to entertain a plea by former NSE MD Chitra Ramkrishna challenging a Delhi High Court order. The High Court had dismissed her challenge against a trial court order taking cognisance of offences under the anti-corruption law in the co-location scam case. Ramkrishna argued the NSE is a private company, but the court stated this point could be raised before the trial court.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने चित्रा रामकृष्ण की याचिका खारिज कर दी है। उन्होंने दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट के एक आदेश को चुनौती दी थी। हाई कोर्ट ने ट्रायल कोर्ट के उस आदेश को बरकरार रखा था, जिसमें को-लोकेशन घोटाला मामले में भ्रष्टाचार निरोधक कानून के तहत अपराधों का संज्ञान लिया गया था। रामकृष्ण का कहना था कि NSE एक प्राइवेट कंपनी है, लेकिन कोर्ट ने कहा कि यह बात ट्रायल कोर्ट में उठाई जा सकती है।
