Eligible Indian nationals with e-passports can now use DigiYatra at designated touchpoints in seven major airports, including Delhi and Mumbai, for select Air India and IndiGo flights. This trial phase, running until 2027, will inform a wider rollout to 25 additional airports. Passengers will need to create a verifiable credential via the DigiYatra app using their e-passport and a selfie, though traditional travel documents remain essential.
