Good Governance Forum Seeks Vigilance Inquiry into HRDCL

The Forum for Good Governance has requested a Vigilance inquiry into the Hyderabad Road Development Corporation Limited (HRDCL), citing a lack of transparency and irregularities in road work tenders. The forum highlighted that HRDCL, formed in 2017, has taken loans of nearly ₹5,000 crore without budget discussion. They questioned HRDCL's necessity given existing bodies like GHMC and alleged that expenditure over eight years hasn't been audited.

सुशासन मंच ने हैदराबाद रोड डेवलपमेंट कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (HRDCL) में पारदर्शिता की कमी और सड़क निर्माण के टेंडरों में अनियमितताओं का हवाला देते हुए विजिलेंस जांच की मांग की है। मंच ने बताया कि 2017 में बनी HRDCL ने बजट चर्चा के बिना लगभग ₹5,000 करोड़ का कर्ज लिया है। उन्होंने GHMC जैसे मौजूदा निकायों को देखते हुए HRDCL की आवश्यकता पर सवाल उठाए और आठ साल के खर्च का ऑडिट न होने का आरोप लगाया।
