Police visited the residence of RJD candidate Dr. Sanjeev Kumar late at night before the Bihar Legislative Council elections for eight seats. Authorities reportedly received information about individuals attempting to influence the election at the candidate's home. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar refused to open his gate, later alleging administrative misconduct. Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav criticized the government, questioning the police presence without a search warrant. The elections for the graduate and teacher constituencies are scheduled with 150 candidates vying for the seats.

बिहार विधान परिषद की आठ सीटों के लिए चुनाव से पहले देर रात पुलिस राजद उम्मीदवार डॉ. संजीव कुमार के आवास पर पहुंची। सूत्रों के मुताबिक, उम्मीदवार के घर पर चुनाव को प्रभावित करने की कोशिश कर रहे लोगों के बारे में अधिकारियों को सूचना मिली थी। डॉ. संजीव कुमार ने अपना गेट खोलने से इनकार कर दिया और बाद में प्रशासनिक कदाचार का आरोप लगाया। विपक्ष के नेता तेजस्वी यादव ने सरकार की आलोचना की और बिना वारंट के पुलिस की मौजूदगी पर सवाल उठाया। स्नातक और शिक्षक निर्वाचन क्षेत्रों के लिए चुनाव निर्धारित हैं, जिसमें 150 उम्मीदवार सीटों के लिए प्रतिस्पर्धा कर रहे हैं।
