Punjab & Haryana HC Rules Reserved Candidates Can Be Considered For Judge Posts Based

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has ruled that three backward class (BC) candidates are eligible to be considered for civil judge posts based on their merit. The court found that four BC candidates had scored higher than the last selected unreserved candidate but were placed in the BC category. The court directed that these candidates should be adjusted against the unreserved category, creating vacancies. The three petitioners, who had lower scores but were next in line for BC category posts, will now be considered for appointment.

पंजाब और हरियाणा हाईकोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया है कि तीन पिछड़ा वर्ग (BC) के उम्मीदवार अपनी मेरिट के आधार पर सिविल जज के पदों के लिए माने जाने योग्य हैं। कोर्ट ने पाया कि चार BC उम्मीदवारों ने अंतिम चयनित अनारक्षित उम्मीदवार से अधिक अंक प्राप्त किए थे, लेकिन उन्हें BC श्रेणी में रखा गया था। कोर्ट ने निर्देश दिया कि इन उम्मीदवारों को अनारक्षित श्रेणी के तहत समायोजित किया जाना चाहिए, जिससे रिक्तियां पैदा होंगी। तीन याचिकाकर्ताओं, जिनके अंक कम थे लेकिन BC श्रेणी के पदों के लिए अगली पंक्ति में थे, पर अब नियुक्ति के लिए विचार किया जाएगा।
