National Conference president Farooq Abdullah has strongly criticized the Supreme Court's decision upholding the abrogation of Article 370. He stated that the verdict was illegal and incorrect, questioning the delay in restoring Jammu and Kashmir's statehood despite promises. Abdullah accused the BJP government of treating the region with "step-motherly" behaviour, alleging that its special status was revoked without consent and the state was divided into two Union Territories.

नेशनल कॉन्फ्रेंस के अध्यक्ष फारूक अब्दुल्ला ने अनुच्छेद 370 को निरस्त करने के सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले की कड़ी आलोचना की है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह फैसला अवैध और गलत था, और वादों के बावजूद जम्मू और कश्मीर को राज्य का दर्जा बहाल करने में देरी पर सवाल उठाया। अब्दुल्ला ने भाजपा सरकार पर इस क्षेत्र के साथ "सौतेले" जैसा व्यवहार करने का आरोप लगाया, यह दावा करते हुए कि इसकी विशेष स्थिति बिना सहमति के रद्द कर दी गई और राज्य को दो केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों में विभाजित कर दिया गया।
