Madurai Temple Replica Becomes Centrepiece of Patna's Durga Puja

This year's Durga Puja pandal in Patna's Kadamkuan area is a faithful replica of the Goddess Mahalaxmi temple in Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The Sri Sri Navyuvak Durga Puja Samiti, organising the event since 1959, has invested approximately Rs 25 lakh in the 65ft-high structure. Crafted from thermocol, plywood, and wood, the pandal is nearing completion for its Saptami opening. The centrepiece will be a 25ft idol of Goddess Durga, created by Patna-based idol maker Bittu Pandit.

पटना में दुर्गा पूजा का मुख्य आकर्षण मधुरै मंदिर की प्रतिकृति

इस साल पटना के कदमकुआं इलाके में दुर्गा पूजा पंडाल तमिलनाडु के मधुरै में देवी महालक्ष्मी मंदिर की हूबहू प्रतिकृति है। 1959 से इस आयोजन को आयोजित कर रही श्री श्री नवयुवक दुर्गा पूजा समिति ने 65 फीट ऊंची इस संरचना में लगभग 25 लाख रुपये का निवेश किया है। थर्मोकॉल, प्लाईवुड और लकड़ी से तैयार किया गया यह पंडाल सप्तमी के उद्घाटन के लिए लगभग पूरा हो चुका है। मुख्य आकर्षण देवी दुर्गा की 25 फीट की मूर्ति होगी, जिसे पटना के मूर्तिकार बिट्टू पंडित ने बनाया है।
