इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने जनवरी से सितंबर 2026 के बीच उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस पर अवैध हिरासत और प्रक्रियात्मक खामियों के लिए कुल 26 लाख रुपये का जुर्माना लगाया है। एक मामले में, कोर्ट ने अवैध हिरासत के लिए 50,000 रुपये का मुआवजा देने का आदेश दिया। अन्य मामलों में इसी तरह के उल्लंघनों के लिए 1 लाख, 5 लाख, 75,000 और 2 लाख रुपये के जुर्माने शामिल थे।
