External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met United Kingdom Prime Minister Andy Burnham on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) 2026 in Antigua and Barbuda. The two leaders discussed strengthening the economic partnership between their countries, particularly in the context of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA). Jaishankar also conveyed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's warm wishes to his British counterpart. He further addressed the importance of de-risking and diversifying economic engagements among Commonwealth nations, advocating for shorter supply chains and improved connectivity.
