New CAFE-3 Rules to Boost Mileage for Petrol Cars and EVs from 2027

New Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE-3) regulations will be implemented, to, aiming to encourage automakers to produce more fuel-efficient and less polluting vehicles. These rules mandate a significant reduction in average carbon emissions for passenger cars, targeting 91.7 grams per kilometer by 2027, down from the current 113 grams. The average mileage target for fleets will increase to 25 km/liter in 2027, rising to approximately 30 km/liter by 2031-32.

नए कॉर्पोरेट एवरेज फ्यूल इकोनॉमी (CAFE-3) नियम लागू किए जाएंगे, जिनका लक्ष्य ऑटोमेकर को अधिक ईंधन-कुशल और कम प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले वाहन बनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करना है। इन नियमों के तहत यात्री कारों के लिए औसत कार्बन उत्सर्जन में 2027 तक 113 ग्राम प्रति किलोमीटर से घटाकर 91.7 ग्राम प्रति किलोमीटर करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। बेड़े के लिए औसत माइलेज का लक्ष्य 2027 में 25 किमी/लीटर और 2031-32 तक लगभग 30 किमी/लीटर तक बढ़ जाएगा।
