IIT Bombay Suicide Probe: Parents Meet Crime Branch

Parents of an IIT Bombay student who died by suicide on September 18 spent eight hours at the Mumbai Crime Branch office. The probe has recorded statements from 20 individuals so far. Police are attempting to access the deceased student's locked mobile phone for further investigation. The parents allege caste-based discrimination at the institute, which has led to an FIR against IIT Bombay faculty and administration. The student was found dead in his hostel room after leaving an examination hall.

आईआईटी बॉम्बे के एक छात्र की आत्महत्या के मामले में, उसके माता-पिता मुंबई क्राइम ब्रांच ऑफिस में आठ घंटे तक रहे। अब तक 20 लोगों के बयान दर्ज किए गए हैं। पुलिस छात्र के बंद मोबाइल फोन को खोलने की कोशिश कर रही है। माता-पिता ने संस्थान में जातिगत भेदभाव का आरोप लगाया है, जिसके चलते आईआईटी बॉम्बे के फैकल्टी और प्रशासन के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज हुई है। छात्र की मौत परीक्षा हॉल से निकलने के बाद उसके हॉस्टल के कमरे में हुई थी।
