Fishermen Urge Govt to Speed Up Mangaluru Dock

Fishermen associations in Mangaluru have appealed to the state government to expedite the ongoing jetty work at the local fishing harbour. The Rs 37.5 crore and Rs 49.5 crore sanctioned for the first three phases have seen a considerable slowdown. This delay is causing daily struggles for fishermen, impacting fishing activities and port operations. They also highlighted the need for an 800-1000m jetty and developing the Nethravati riverbank into a fishing harbour.

मंगलुरु के मछुआरा संघों ने राज्य सरकार से स्थानीय मछली पकड़ने वाले बंदरगाह पर चल रहे जेटी के काम में तेजी लाने की अपील की है। पहले तीन चरणों के लिए मंजूर किए गए 37.5 करोड़ और 49.5 करोड़ रुपये के काम में काफी सुस्ती आ गई है। इस देरी से मछुआरों को रोज़ाना मुश्किलों का सामना करना पड़ रहा है, जिससे मछली पकड़ने और बंदरगाह के संचालन पर असर पड़ रहा है।
