Seven Injured In Chemical Plant Blast In Mahad

Seven people sustained grievous injuries in a high-intensity chemical reactor explosion at Synergia Chem Industries in Mahad MIDC, Raigad. The blast was so powerful that parts of the reactor were thrown far away, and smoke was visible from villages 5 km distant. The factory produces para nitro toluene ortho-sulfonic acid, a chemical dye. Police have booked nine individuals, including management, for alleged negligence, including employing untrained workers and failing to fill the safety manager post. Adjoining factory plants were also damaged.

महाड एमआयडीसी, रायगड स्थित Synergia Chem Industries में एक हाई-इंटेंसिटी केमिकल रिएक्टर में हुए धमाके में सात लोग गंभीर रूप से घायल हो गए। यह धमाका इतना शक्तिशाली था कि रिएक्टर के कुछ हिस्से दूर जा गिरे और 5 किमी दूर स्थित गांवों से भी धुआं दिखाई दे रहा था। यह फैक्ट्री पैरा नाइट्रो टोल्यूनि ऑर्थो-सल्फोनिक एसिड, एक केमिकल डाई बनाती है। पुलिस ने कथित लापरवाही के आरोप में प्रबंधन सहित नौ लोगों के खिलाफ मामला दर्ज किया है, जिसमें अप्रशिक्षित श्रमिकों को काम पर रखना और सुरक्षा प्रबंधक का पद खाली रखना शामिल है। आस-पास के कारखानों को भी नुकसान हुआ है।
