TRAI Draft Mandates Telecom Firms' AI Responsibility, Spammers To Face Action

TRAI has released a draft framework for the responsible use of AI in telecom networks. Under the proposed rules, telecom companies will be directly responsible for the outcomes of any AI systems they use, regardless of whether they developed them in-house or sourced them externally. Companies must establish internal AI policies approved by their board and form dedicated committees for oversight.
