दिल्ली की एक अदालत ने कहा है कि छात्र कार्यकर्ता शरजील इमाम ने मीडिया से बातचीत करके कथित तौर पर अपनी अंतरिम जमानत की शर्तों का उल्लंघन किया है। अदालत ने कहा कि वीडियो में इमाम अपने भाई को इंटरव्यू देते हुए मौजूद दिखे, जिससे यह साबित हुआ कि क्लिप अलग-अलग नहीं थे। उल्लंघन पाए जाने के बावजूद, जज ने उनकी जमानत रद्द नहीं करने का फैसला किया क्योंकि इमाम पहले से ही आत्मसमर्पण के रास्ते पर थे। इमाम को शादी में शामिल होने के लिए सात दिनों की अंतरिम जमानत दी गई थी, जिसमें मीडिया और सोशल मीडिया से संपर्क न करने की सख्त शर्तें थीं।
