CONCACAF president Victor Montagliani is reportedly planning to run for a third term, according to media reports. This move would effectively rule him out as a potential successor to FIFA president Gianni Infantino. Montagliani was previously considered a possible challenger to Infantino, having previously diverged on Infantino's proposal for private investment in the FIFA World Cup. CONCACAF elections are scheduled for early next year, preceding the FIFA elections in March. Ramon Vega is currently the only confirmed challenger to Infantino.
