Dhubri Administration Plans Strict Noise Checks During Durga Puja

The Dhubri district administration is preparing guidelines for Durga Puja committees, planning strict monitoring to curb loud DJ music at pandals and during idol immersion. Senior superintendent of police Debasish Bora stated that DJs will not be allowed to play above permissible noise limits, citing health risks associated with excessive noise. Over 100 puja committees are expected to organize celebrations in Dhubri town, with more than 500 pujas anticipated across the district. Organizers have urged the administration to focus on security, crowd management, sanitation, and noise control.
