IPS Officer Denies Probe Interference in Cheranalloor Crash Case

Inspector General of Police Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar has denied reports of intervening in the investigation of the fatal Cheranalloor car crash. He stated that his recent transfer from District Police Chief (Kochi City) is unrelated to the case. Kumar refuted claims that a district court judge, whose minor son was allegedly driving the luxury car, had contacted him. He asserted that no one from outside influenced him and he would not yield to illegal requests. The officer maintained that the investigation has proceeded based on evidence from the outset.

पुलिस महानिरीक्षक (Inspector General of Police) कलाइराज महेश कुमार ने घातक चेरनाल्लूर कार दुर्घटना की जांच में हस्तक्षेप करने की खबरों का खंडन किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि जिला पुलिस प्रमुख (कोच्चि शहर) के पद से उनका हालिया तबादला इस मामले से जुड़ा नहीं है। कुमार ने इस दावों को खारिज कर दिया कि एक जिला न्यायाधीश, जिनके नाबालिग बेटे कथित तौर पर लग्जरी कार चला रहे थे, ने उनसे संपर्क किया था। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि बाहर से किसी ने भी उन्हें प्रभावित नहीं किया और वे अवैध अनुरोधों के आगे नहीं झुकेंगे। अधिकारी ने कहा कि जांच शुरू से ही सबूतों के आधार पर आगे बढ़ी है।
